In a masterpiece of Art Nouveau designed by Victor Horta (1906),the Belgian Comic Strip Center brings together everything related to the comic strip,from its prestigious beginnings to its most recent developments, on more than 4,000 square metres of museum floors.
One of the major tourist attractions of Brussels, the Center was inaugurated by HM the King and HM the Queen on 3 October 1989.It welcomes 260,000 visitors each year.

Until the 10th of October “The Europeans look at the Europeans” and “Our heroes by bike”, two touring exhibitions from the Belgian Comic Strip Center, are displayed at the Médiathèque Georges Sand of Enghien-Les-Bains (France).
Chinese tourists have been growing more numerous amongst the visitors of the Belgian Comic Strip Center for a while now. Especially for them we now offer a guidebook with Chinese translations of the museum’s texts. English, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese guides were available already to visitors who do not understand French or Dutch.
50 Years of Smurfs
Fifty years after their birth, the Smurfs remain among the most popular characters ever created by a Belgian comic strip author.
