Meet the artists - 2026
Discover the secrets of 9th art in the company of exceptional speakers

Once again this autumn, the Comics Art Museum is hosting a series of panels, talks and masterclasses. Once a month, we will be welcoming a renowned artist. The artist will give a talk or participate in a panel on the theme and/or angle of his or her choice.
These topics will be presented in the language preferred by the artist.

- Thursday 19/03/2026 - Panel with Tom Muller & Philippe Ghielmetti: graphic designers and layout artists in the comic book industry. Masterclass in English.
Tom Muller is an award-winning Belgian creative director. Through his independent design studio helloMuller he works with game developers, film & TV studios, publishers, startups and storytellers building brands and identities that bring worlds to life. In comics he’s mostly known for his work on VIKING, DRIFTER, VS, Zero, Mazebook, The One Hand and The Six Finger, and his multi award-winning rebrand of Marvel’s X-MEN franchise. He lives in London with a cluster of cats a great coffee machine that keeps all of this going.

Philippe Ghielmetti began his career in comics with Le Crobard, a landmark magazine featuring Tardi, Bilal and Moebius. After working with Futuropolis and the legendary New York studio M&Co, he became a leading figure in graphic design. With his studio Sketch, he spent nearly twenty years collaborating with major cultural institutions while publishing books, comics and jazz.
Since 2005 he has worked with publishers such as Dupuis and Dargaud. Awarded both an Eisner Award and a Harvey Award for Little Nemo, he later served as artistic director of the Angoulême International Comics Festival (2016–2022), confirming his central role in the international comics scene.

- Thursday 23/04/2026 - Masterclass Aimée De Jongh
On Thursday 23 April, we have the incredible honour and pleasure of welcoming Dutch star author Aimée De Jongh. She has written and illustrated an impressive oeuvre that has won numerous awards. In 2025, she won the Willy Vandersteen Prize (the prize for the best Dutch-language album) for her comic adaptation of the classic novel Lord of the Flies. It promises to be a particularly fascinating evening in which she will give an insight into her rich career. Masterclass in English.
