Once again this autumn, the Comics Art Museum is hosting a series of panels, talks and masterclasses. Once a month, we will be welcoming a renowned artist. The artist will give a talk or participate in a panel on the theme and/or angle of his or her choice.

These topics will be presented in the language preferred by the artist.

Past:

  • Thursday 19/03/2026 - Panel with Tom Muller & Philippe Ghielmetti: graphic designers and layout artists in the comic book industry. Masterclass in English.
  • Thursday 23/04/2026 - Masterclass Aimée De Jongh

Upcoming:

  • Thursday 21/05/2026 - Masterclass AI & comics with Yannick Jacquet & Anne-Lise Combaud

The emergence of generative AI raises numerous questions within the comic book and illustration industries: creation, rights, tools and changing practices.
During this masterclass, Anne-Lise Combeaud, author, and Yannick Jacquet, artist and founder of the ‘IA et Nous’ outreach project, will facilitate a session of reflection and discussion on these issues.
Using concrete examples, the masterclass will provide an overview of current uses, before addressing the impacts on authorship and illustration practices, as well as issues relating to image rights in a rapidly changing technological landscape. The session aims to make these topics more accessible, to distinguish reality from preconceptions, and to open up a discussion on the transformations currently affecting the arts and graphic design professions.
Masterclass in french.
