Discover the secrets of 9th art in the company of exceptional speakers

Published on 01 September 2025

Once again this autumn, the Comics Art Museum is hosting a series of panels, talks and masterclasses. Once a month, we will be welcoming a renowned artist. The artist will give a talk or participate in a panel on the theme and/or angle of his or her choice.

These topics will be presented in the language preferred by the artist.

Past

  • Thursday 09/10/2025 - Masterclass JC Deveney: Writing for comics pt. 2

Upcoming

  • Thursday 13/11/2025 - Panel with Elsa Charretier & Aleksi Briclot: a french touch in american comics
Elsa Charretier and Aleksi Briclot are two well-known names in the French graphic design world. This evening, they're eager to share their experiences in the American comics industry. They'll take you through their journey of visual storytelling, European style, and the codes of the genre. They'll discuss their influences and how they add a "French touch" to their superhero-dominated universe.

Elsa Charretier is a comic book artist and writer. Early in her career, she's illustrated numerous books for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, IDW Publishing, Random House, Disney and Lucasfilm and has now shifted her focus to her independent work, most notably NOVEMBER with Matt Fraction, LOVE EVERLASTING with Tom King (both published by Image Comics) and THE CITY BENEATH HER FEET with James Tynion IV. In collaboration with PK Colinet, co-founder of their studio Big Head Little Arms, she's also successfully ran four large Kickstarter campaigns, created a Mini-Print Club and launched a Comics Case Study YouTube channel.
